Emilienne Uwineza and Jeanette Niyigena survived a late scare to win two sets to one (13-21, 21-10) against Yvette Igihozo and Denise Mutatsimpundu in the ladies’s section.
In the veterans’ category, Jean Paul Mana and Vedaste Ntanteteri held off Gideon Ruboneza and Theogne Ndagijimana to clinch a deserved win (21-19, 23-21).
The winning pairs in the three categories walked away with Frw180,000, the first runners-up bagged Frw100,000 while the third and fourth pairs settled for Frw60,000 and Frw 40,000 respectively.
MTN’s Public Relations officer Bosco Sendahangarwa also lauded the federation for staging an organized and action packed championship.
