Not so many months ago, Commercial Bank of Rwanda introduced queue management system. The idea was that clients who come first must be served first.

But I was disappointed on Sunday August 2 when I discovered that employees at the BCR who are supposed to enforce this system are the very people who abuse it.

Around mid day, all clients had been in the queue for quite long hours. But to our disappointment, the last client to come was served first!

When the manager of this branch saw his friend (client), he rushed and picked her. He then took his friend straightaway to the counter!  She immediately got served.

When other clients complained, the manager turned his head, and gave that kind of look deserved by beggars. Why, I wonder did BCR start this queue management system in the first place?
