Kigali roads are generally good but my major concern remains the state of the narrow roads that connect to the main roads. They seem like they are just footpaths. They are so muddy during the rainy season and dusty when it’s sunny.

It’s totally impossible to spot a good look while using roads in such a bad state. Last week my cousins wedding was totally ruined after we spent hours pushing our cars through mud to access her home where she was to be picked up. Her maids had to walk down the aisle in muddy shoes.

Motor bikes accidents are just uncontrollable since of the slipper state of the roads especially during the rainy season. We are forced to walk home since no cyclist is willing to cycle through slippery roads.

I feel short changed since there are so many other people who don’t have to go through this just because they live near main roads. The city council should ensure that all the roads are tarmarced since we all have a right to use better roads than what we have now.

I am appealing to the city council to hear our plight. To expand and tarmac this roads to make our homes more accessible.
