Rwanda - China Corporation meeting

Rwanda and China held a two day sixth session of the joint committee on economic, technical and trade cooperation in Beijing earlier this week.

The session deliberated on a number of issues between the two countries including the completed projects, the on-going, as new projects submitted to the China’s government for funding.

PSF to award best exhibitors

The Private Sector Federation (PSF) will award the exhibitors with the best customer care services after the end of this 12th Rwanda international Trade Fair (RITF).

According to the research made by the PSF, many customers complain about bad services rendered to them by exhibitors.

1 year guarantee for RDB buses

One year guarantee for RDB buses
The buses recently imported by the Rwanda Development Board to mainly to extend ICT to rural areas have one year guarantee.

The buses were imported through SKANIA Motors (RW) LTD, which are dealers of SCANIA trucks.

A senior official at SKANIA Motors said that each bus has a Fridge, Air conditioner and a public address system, in addition to containing IT equipments.

Gacuriro in water crisis

Gacuriro residents have been experiencing extreme water problems for the past one week.

Many people including children are making long queues outside the Kagugu area to get the water and most of them complain that the place is very far from their homes.
Resident of Kagugu now pays 200 francs for one jerrican.

Expo officially opens Tuesday

The private sector federation (PSF) in conjunction with the ministry of trade and industry has set the official opening of the 12th Rwanda international Trade Fair August 4.

According to PSF, the opening ceremony will be attended by high ranking public and private sector officials from the region, leaders of diplomatic missions, development partners, and local and international exhibitors among others.

EAC ministry on investment conference

The ministry of East African Community will on Monday hold the press conference to brief journalists on the outcome of the 2nd EAC investment conference that was held in Nairobi from July 29-31.

The conference which was second to the one held in Kigali last year was aimed at devising means of attracting investors to EAC and had President Paul Kagame as the keynote speaker.

Influenza tabletop

The Public Affairs Section of the United States of America Embassy in Kigali is to hold the first national pandemic influenza tabletop exercise in Rwanda on Monday.

The objective of this exercise is to test the pandemic influenza emergency preparedness and response plan in Rwanda.
This will also be an opportunity to raise awareness on the impact of pandemic influenza on the health care system and to improve understanding regarding the roles and responsibilities of all stakeholders.
