Local defence guard loses gun

RWAMAGANA — A local defence guard Dorosera Musabyimana, is being held at Rwamagana Police Station after allegedly losing her gun.

RWAMAGANA — A local defence guard Dorosera Musabyimana, is being held at Rwamagana Police Station after allegedly losing her gun.

One man has been arrested in connection to the lost rifle.
According to the Police Darius Mwizerwa was arrested after Musabyimana claimed he had grabbed the gun from her. 
Speaking from the police station however, Mwizerwa denied the accusations. 

"I never met this woman the whole day. The people I spent the day with can testify,” he said.

Musabyimana, 27, claims that Mwizerwa, a resident of Mwurire village in Rwamagana grabbed the gun from her while she was in the field.

"At around 8.00 p.m., I was seated under a tree he grabbed the gun from me after some disagreements. He ran very fast and disappeared in the darkness. I tried to follow him in vain.” Musabyimana said. "He is the very man we had shared drinks with.”

Police are still searching for the gun.
