Atraco v Mukura

Third place play-off
APR v Rayon

AFTER seeing off APR, Mukura’s head coach Ali Bizimungu now wants to finish off the job against Atraco in the MTN Peace Cup final.

Mukura have not won the Cup since 1992 but Bizimungu believes that this could be there time to end the 17-year drought.

Bizimungu is aware his team will have to be on top of their game when they play an in-form Atraco side which is fighting for an unprecedented treble.

"We have to double our efforts if we are to pull off something from this game. It is time to give something back to our fans that have been very supportive,” he said.

"Like APR and Rayon Sport, Mukura is a big club and big clubs win trophies,” the former SC Kiyovu coach added.

Having dislodged his former club in the quarter-final, Bizimungu further guided the club as they dumped reigning champions APR out of the competition.

The Huye based club started their fairytale run with a well deserved 2-2 away draw in the first leg and then backed it up with a 1-1 home draw on Monday to progress to the final on the away goals rule.

Mukura are chasing their fourth Cup Peace after victories in 1986, 1990 and1992 and 1992.
