They have not been seeing eye to eye since they parted ways two years ago but Symphony Band have confirmed that they are now on good terms with their former member Ariel Wayz.

While the band was aiming to achieve greater things in music with the then lone female and very important member, Ariel Wayz had already decided to pursue a solo career, putting a shocking end to her three-year journey with the band.

The rest of the band members didn’t take Wayz’s decision lightly but, because she had already made up her mind, they moved on to do music without her and did all they could to bounce back.

Some disputes followed their breakup, with reports indicating that Ariel Wayz was not impressed by Symphony’s move to replace her with female singer Bwiza in their song ‘Nkomeza’ yet she recorded it with them before she left the band. They therefore, had to change the title of the song to ‘My Day.’

All that is in the past now, as Symphony confirmed Ariel Wayz on the performance lineup for their concert dubbed ‘Fantasy Music Concert’ slated Saturday, November 5, Institut Francais in Rugando, Kimihurura.

"Having Ariel at our concert is a confirmation that all is well between us now. Yes, we had some disputes since she quit the group but that is a closed chapter. We are delighted to welcome her on stage,” said band singer and producer The Major.

"The focus is now on the concert and we invited everyone to be with us,” he added.

To clear the air, Ariel Wayz echoed that ending the feud with the band from which she experienced a breakthrough in music has always been her wish for a while, and that she looks forward to sharing the stage with her brothers in music since their early days at Nyundo Music School.

"People took it [the dispute] too seriously but it wasn’t that big as they hyped it. I am really excited to reunite with the band at this concert. I missed the vibe with these boys,” said the singer who is fresh from her concert in Bujumbura, Burundi last weekend.

"Everything is sorted now. We call people to come and enjoy good live music,” she added.

Besides Ariel Wayz, Symphony announced Belgium-based Rwandan musician Inki and music students from Nyundo Music School among other performers lined up for the concert.

Entry tickets are now available via Nokanda application at Rwf10,000 for regulars, Rwf15,000 for VIPs and Rwf17,000 for couples.
