Rwanda Premier League club Gasogi United have appointed Ugandan Paul Kiwanuka as their new head coach.

Gasogi terminated the contract of Adel Ahmed and his deputy Bahaeldin Ibrahim through mutual consensus on October 31 following the 1-0 defeat to AS Kigali.

Kiwanuka takes charge of the team on an interim basis. He is expected to bring them back to winning ways.

He will be assisted by Dusange Sasha as they hope to propel the team to a respectable position before a substantive technical team is employed.

Kiwanuka previously managed Ugandan clubs such as Soltilo Bright Stars, Busoga United and Busiro, all in the Uganda Premier League. He also had stints with Vipers Sports Club as assistant coach.
