Rwanda Table Tennis Federation (RTTF) concluded a five-day youth training camp for over the weekend at Amahoro stadium.
A total of 30 youth between the age of 8-15 and 15-24 years attended the clinic conducted by a Togolese table tennis star Lawson Kaka.
The federation president Medard Rutayisire said that the training was aimed at introducing the game to new players as well as giving extra tips to the already existing players.
"We organised the event to raise awareness of the sport and even help elevate skills of some of the young players,” Rutayisire said, adding that it’s from these young players that the federation intends to build the future national team.
Kaka also conducted a level one coaching course for local coaches from July 15-19 with the financial assistance of the International Solidarity Fund and Rwanda National Olympic Committee.
