AS Kigali 1-0 APR

AS Kigali grabbed a hard fought 1-0 win over champions APR at Ferwafa playground yesterday to recapture top spot on the league table.

Faida Sonya scored the lone goal, three minutes into the second half and the Kigali city council side managed to hold off the marauding military side.

The win moved AS Kigali to 42 points, two clear of APR and a further six clear of Musanze.

AS Kigali will now wind up their league campaign with a tricky fixture against Musanze and the city side’s Coach Grace Nyiranumuntu yesterday insisted that the race was still on.

"It is true that today’s win has motivated us but the task is still on. We have to play Musanze and we all know that they are a very good side,” she echoed.
