Musanze and Etincelles qualify for top flight football

Etincelles overcame a 3-1 deficient from the first leg by beating Military 2-0 to return to the top flight next season.
Military seemed on course of first division promotion after a 3-1 first leg advantage but the side got alarmed by a determined and hardworking Etincelles side.

The game ended in controversy when Military coach Colonel Ngaibihanye questioned the referee’s decision to award the home side a penalty several minutes after extra minute.

Ngaibihanye has threatened to make an official compliant to the local football governing body, Ferwafa.

In the other playoff match, Muhanga realized their long term dream of playing top flight football after yesterday’s goalless draw against Musanze. The side progressed on away goal rule after a 1-1 draw in the first leg.
