Rwanda’s sports fraternity is mourning the death of basketball coach, Jean de Dieu Nizeyimana who died Tuesday night at King Faysal Hospital.

The former assistant national basketball team tactician and Basketball United Generation (BUG) coach collapsed on Monday evening at Lycee de Kigali moments after taking his club through a training session.

The 40-year-old is credited for guiding the national team to the maiden appearance at the August Africa Nations’ Cup event in Angola.
