•After reports that SC Villa want him

RWANDA’s versatile defender Omar Hitimana is torn between returning home and playing in Uganda.

Hitimana, whose contract with Uganda’s KCC ran out last month is believed to be sought after by nine-time league champions APR, Uganda’s league champions URA and Sports Club Villa, one of Uganda’s most celebrated clubs.

"I have received calls from Villa about a possible deal and for me, it’s very flattering because they are a big club but I won’t make a hurried decision,” he said.

The former national U-23 captain is currently undergoing trials at APR and should have a response after the on-going MTN Peace Cup and national league.

"For now, all I can say is that I’m waiting for APR’s decision.”
Hitimana, who featured for Atraco moved to Uganda at the end of the 2006/07 season after penning a one-year deal with Express FC.

He joined Kampala City Council the following year on a one-year contract worth US$5000 (Rwf2.8 million).

During his time at KCC, he helped the club win the national Super league and get involved in the lucrative MTN/ CAF Champions League.
