STILL ON TRIAL: Elias Uzamukunda

ELIAS ‘Baby’ Uzamukunda’s move to Ligue 2 side Nantes FC is far from done. The APR and Amavubi striker played his fourth trial game on Tuesday against Les Canaris and according to his agent, he pulled through just fine.

It was his first 90 minute game after two-second half games displays against Vertou and Stade Rennais reserves.

Mathew Bideau, the officer in charge of recruitment at Nantes was fairly impressed with the striker saying, "After a week of physicals and general training, everyone is happy with the behavior of our youths and Uzamukunda falls in that category.”

"He is very athletic, reads the game well and has a good left foot although he still needs to up his overall game. But for now, I think he is on the right track,” Bideau’s email to Times Sport read in part.

Uzamukunda is having second professional trials with the team despite passing his first trials back in February.
