Ethiopian Airlines on Friday awarded the seven travel agencies according to the best performing ones.
These seven agencies are legal agencies that accredited by the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

According to Area Manager Ethiopian Airlines, Bruk Endeshaw, these awards are done on a annual basis and the purpose of giving them out is to extend our gratitude to this work done in the previous year.

"Basically is to say thank you for their continued support they are giving us by selling our services to the public,” Endeshaw added.

At the occasion, Certificates and cash were awarded according to the best performing agency. The Area Manager also urged the less performing agencies to work hard in order also to be given the best award the following year.

Ethiopian Airlines was recently awarded as the best Airline 2009 in Africa. Also at the ceremony of awarding the best performing agencies, three raffle tickets were drown. One to Dubai and the two the winners will decide for themselves were to go.  

Ethiopian Airlines is one of the largest and fastest growing airlines in Africa, made its maiden flight to Cairo in 1946. With the recent service additions to Riyadh and Malabo, Ethiopian provides dependable services to 34 cities in Africa and to a total of 55 destinations world wide. 

In August 2008, Ethiopian won the 2008 Corporate Achievement Award of Aviation & Allied Business for setting the pace towards the development and growth of the African aviation industry.
