Thousands of people flock to Kigali Pele Stadium to board buses heading upcountry, eager to join their families for festive season celebrations. In the downtown area, many shoppers were seen purchasing various items for the holiday, while others were heading to churches for rehearsals ahead of Christmas celebrations.
Early in the morning of Tuesday, December 24, some passengers arrived at Nyabugogo bus park only to be informed that buses to their respective destinations had been relocated to different other locations, including Nyanza bus park, in Kicukiro District; Kigali Pele Stadium in Nyamirambo, Nyarugenge District; and Kabuga bus park, in Gasabo District.
