The Governor of Western Province, Jean-Bosco Ntibitura, commended the number of exhibitors participating in the 2024 edition and the promotion of Rwandan products.
"Many of the products exhibited here are locally manufactured, which is a positive sign, a good move. It’s a good culture people need to embrace," said Ntibitura. "It demonstrates that Rwandans are on the right track toward increased local production."

For Rubavu District Mayor, Prosper Mulindwa, the beach expo presented an opportunity for local businesses to capitalise on the influx of visitors coming to the lake-side city during the festive season.
"We expect a huge turnout of people as this exhibition provides a festive atmosphere for residents and visitors alike while also creating a profitable opportunity for our businesses," Mulindwa said.
Ernest Nkurunziza, Chairman of the Private Sector Federation (PSF) in Western Province, highlighted the 2024 edition&039;s unique focus on promoting local products through the 'Made in Rwanda' initiative.
"We are encouraging the use of locally made clothing," said Nkurunziza. "There's no reason why we should continue to rely on secondhand clothing when we can produce such high-quality and stylish options domestically."
Exhibitors also spoke of the need to promote locally produced goods and services.
"This expo provides an excellent platform for Rwandans to embrace local products and move away from secondhand clothing," said Hamida Ingabire of Janiya Investment, a company that makes clothes.
"Our products are well received, and they are not expensive. People should dress well and stylishly and avoid secondhand clothing."
The exhibition organisers also included entertainment. Musicians such as Mico The Best, Danny Nanone, and Danny Vumbi, have been lined up to entertain the crowds attending the exhibition.
