Osei clinches Twente deal

Ghana youth international striker Ransford Osei has left Israeli side Maccabi Haifa to join Dutch side Twente Enschede.The 18-year-old moves from the Haifa-based club on loan until the end of the season.

Ghana youth international striker Ransford Osei has left Israeli side Maccabi Haifa to join Dutch side Twente Enschede.The 18-year-old moves from the Haifa-based club on loan until the end of the season.

Osei penned the season-long deal with the Dutch outfit on Wednesday night to boost the club in the Uefa Champions League this season.

The move is a big step for Osei, who is a potential world-class forward."I am aware that the task ahead of me is very huge because Twente is a very big club,” Osei told Ghana soccernet.

"I know I have to work hard if I am to make an impact here because they have got very big players but I am ready for the challenge.”

Osei, who has a contract with his Israeli club Maccabi until mid 2011 was the top scorer at the 2009 Africa Youth Championships which were held in Rwanda back in January.
