Kimisagara Youth Center is set to host a holiday makers sporting gala from July 21 to August 2.The Director of the center Donatien Nsengimana told Times Sport yesterday that the event is aimed at promoting sports from the grass root level.

"This sporting event is meant for children between 17 and 20 years of age,” he said.

Sporting disciplines to be contested in include football, street ball and modern dance among others. The center has reached out to Ferwafa, Rwanda’s football governing body to assist in selecting teams.

At the end of the event, prizes ranging from balls, trophies and football kit will be won. International cooperation companies GTZ and DED have splashed Rwf8millions in the one-week event.
