JUST when everything seemed to be going right for Right Guards, Harshard Sharma picked three wickets after lunch to swing the game back in Indorwa’s favour. Guards who needed 58 runs from 27 overs heading into the lunch break found themselves in a tough position at 87 for 7.

Guards were eventually bowled out for 120, 22 runs short of the target. Emma Byiringiro (23) and Fiston Nsengiyumva (20) top scored for the side. Sharma was the highlight of Indorwa’s bowling after impressive bowling figures of 5 for 23 runs.

Right Guards’ consolation came from slow bowler Dennis Mukama who secured a bonus point after his five-wicket haul.Ashish Pandya top scored for Indorwa with a well-worked 26.

Indorwa, who picked five points from the game are now joint table leaders alongside Challengers and four-time Sulfo league champions Kigali Cricket Club (KCC).

Guards are fourth with one point while reigning champions Young Tigers are still looking for their first point.
