The House of Bishops of the Anglican Church of Rwanda on Thursday, December 19, elected Rev. Louis Pasteur Kabayiza as the new bishop of Shyogwe Diocese.

Kabayiza is the third bishop to head the diocese.

Bishop Kabayiza will be consecrated and enthroned on March 23, 2025, according to Rev Laurent Mbanda, the Archbishop of the Anglican Church of Rwanda.

The Anglican Church of Rwanda has twelve dioceses, namely Butare, Byumba, Cyangugu, Gahini, Gasabo, Karongi, Kibungo, Kigali, Kigeme, Kivu, Shyira, and Shyogwe.
