Play-offs
First leg (July 18)
Etincelles v Military
Musanze v Muhanga

HAVING been relegated from the first division for the first time last year, Etincelles can’t wait to make a swift return to the top flight. The club is a win away from realizing their dream.

Etincelles have been a beauty to watch in the second division and there was little surprise when the club stormed the play-offs after topping Group A.

The club finished a point clear of Muhanga and a further eleven ahead of National University of Rwanda (UNR).

The Northern-Province based club will now play against a resilient Military side that only squeezed into the play-offs on the final day of the regular season.

"Bad administrative policies cost us last year. There was a lot lacking in the administering of the club. We failed to buy players and could not even take proper care of our injured players,” Etincelles’ coach Rajaab Bizumuremyi disclosed.

"But we are on the brink of returning to where we belong.”
Meanwhile, Musanze coach Rafiki Nshiyimana has played down talks that his club will have the upper hand in their play-off game with Muhanga.

"It does not make sense to me. Any team that gets this far is a strong team and should be treated with great respect,”Nshiyimana said.
