It was that time fashion brought color to a star-studded end of year gala as Rwanda’s premier production company, Zacu TV, celebrated a year of achievements and growth with various celebrities in Rwandan cinema industry.

From actors and actresses to film directors and other key personalities in the local filmmaking industry, the celebrations at Kigali City Tower were nothing short of excitement.

A host of renowned cinema celebrities hit the red carpet dressed in black and which was the dress code of the night, adding color and glamour to the fete.

Notable attendees include renowned actors Clapton Mugisha alias Kibonge, Dr Nsabi, Francis Zahabu, Didier Kamanzi, Ramadhan Benimana commonly known as Bamenya, Gratien Niyitegeka who is famous is his online series, Papa Sava.

Others include actresses Ariane Vanessa Irakoze who is currently rocking City Maid series, Clenia Dushime and Antoinette Uwamahoro (both is Papa Sava) and Saranda Mutoni among many others.

Since its launch in 2022, Zacu TV has become the number one channel on the Canal+ bouquet in Rwanda. The channel has demonstrated remarkable growth, expanding from producing just 40 hours of content in 2017 to now generating over 150 hours of content annually.

"With top-notch equipment and a commitment to original programming, Zacu TV has achieved wide viewership, particularly with the successful acquisition of "The Bishop's Family," said Wilson Misago, the CEO of Zacu Entertainment.

Established in 2017 and subsequently acquired by the distinguished CANAL+ Group in 2022, Zacu has gained an exemplary reputation for entrancing audiences with an impressive array of critically acclaimed TV series, which includes Seburikoko, City Maid, Indoto, Ejo Si Kera, The Bishop’s Family, Kaliza wa Kalisa and Ishusho ya Papa among others.

The production company has gained international acclaim, with its original series winning and being nominated for various awards. The company is strategically positioning itself for future growth by seeking co-productions with higher budgets and aiming to diversify its content.

By working closely with other producers and focusing on variety and quality, Zacu TV continues to empower its cast and crew while establishing itself as a leading content creator in the region.
