Kirehe: With commencement of the national training of health councilors commonly known as Intore z’ubuzima ,getting into high gear, within the Eastern province over 10,000 personnel are expected to attend.
In Kirehe District, hundreds have already gathered at the selected venues.

They are filled with enthusiasm to get the skills from the training.

"We have organized different sites where our people can be trained.

It is encouraging that 2,032 out of 2,400 targeted participants have so far arrived,” Mayor Protais Mureyire.

"The counselors will share experience and get the knowledge from different  experts.

We want to make a change in the service delivery,” said the Mayor.

In a related development in Rwamagana district, scores of nurses and community health care continue to gather in their respective sites.

"The process is very important for our community health counselors. They reach all corners of our society counseling people.

They need some fundamental life skills that we are set to offer in the training,” Emile Gasore Director of health in Rwamagana District said.

The exercise is conducted in every district countrywide.
"On this site we have about 71 people so far. But the numbers increase daily,” The Director of health in the District and the supervisor of the exercise at St. Kizitu –Musha site said.

The whole exercise is expected to last for three weeks.
