Rwamagana - Army dentists have so far treated hundreds of patients having problems with dental problems in Eastern Province.

As at last tuesday the RDF team was still undertaking this exercise in Rwamagana hospital.

Asked to comment, one of the dentists said, "The response has been overwhelming.

We are receiving so many patients every day.People have come from as far as  Nyagatare and elsewhere,” Lieutenant Pierre Claver Mazimpaka, attached to Kanombe Military Hospital said on the last day of the operations.

Our sources say that from dawn, ever since commencement of the progamme, patients have been making long lines seeking treatment.

"Rwanda has  very few dentists generally. It is not surprising therefore, that we are handling more than two hundred cases a day,” the officer on duty remarked.

"I have had a problem with my teeth for the last two months. When I heard that the army was offering free services, I quickly came to seek treatment, Gorethe Nyiramafaranga, 66, said.

"I have had so many sleepless nights. That they have sorted out my problem is extremely relieving for me. I am  very happy,” Claude Karemera another patient, said immediately after being treated.
