ATRACO have an extra day to prepare for their MTN Peace Cup second leg tie against Police, Times Sport has learnt.

The 2009 Cecafa/Kagame Cup champions, who jetted back on Tuesday were handed an extra day by Ferwafa, the local football governing body to allow them recuperate from the demanding two-week tournament which was staged in Khartoum, Sudan.

The tie, which had been slated for this afternoon, will now be played tomorrow.

The national league champions and last year’s losing finalists will head into the tie with a slim 1-0 victory from the first leg.
Should Atraco win, they will face Rayon Sport in the first leg of the semi-final next Monday.

In the other semi-final tie, APR will clash with Mukura.
Atraco were crowned regional champions on Sunday after their stunning 1-0 win over hosts and tournament favourites El Merreikh in the final played in front a capacity crowd at Red Castle stadium.

APR and Rayon Sport made light work of their opponents over the weekend to storm the semi-finals of this year’s MTN Peace Cup.

APR ran amok after a stimulating 7-0 victory over paperweights Amagaju while eight-time champions Rayon were also comfortable winners after their 3-0 victory over Electrogaz in their respective quarter-final second legs.
