Rwandan midfielder Sven Kalisa is aiming to help his club Etzella Ettelbruck qualify back to the Luxembourg Premier League.
Kalisa saw his team finish 6th in the first round of the Luxemburg second tier league with 24 points from 15 games. He, however, believes his side will do much better in the second round which begins in February 2025 to keep their hopes of a promotion to the top tier league.

"The first round didn&039;t go as expected and we are 10 points shy of the top. But I believe we can catch up and get one of the tickets back which are up for grabs for the Premier League," Kalisa told Times Sport.
On his personal output, Kalisa said he is satisfied with his performance and he admits he could have done even better if it hadn’t been for injuries.
"I played 7 games because of injuries but out of those games, I made the team of the week three time. If I go injury free this coming round, I hope to keep the momentum that I have picked recently. I want a call up back in Amavubi," he added.
Born to Rwandan parents in Luxembourg, Kalisa played for youth teams of the European nation before switching allegiance to Amavubi in March 2022.
He made his international football debut for Rwanda on September 7, 2022 in a friendly game in Morocco.
