Rwandan football prospect Elijah Turahirwa has signed a developmental contract with English Championship side Burnley after passing trials.
The 15-year-old centre back, who can also play as a central midfielder, was spotted by Burnley scouts while playing for Accrington Academy. He was later offered to have trials after which the club decided to sign him.

Turahirwa’s developmental contract, signed on December 9, will run for two years after which he will be offered a professional contract if he impresses.
He will start playing in the Burnley U17 team and then U21 team before joining the senior team as long as he performs well.
Born to Rwandan parents in England, Turahirwa is yet to be capped internationally at any level.
