Players abroad: Mugisha on target for Lorient as Gueulette’s form continues

It was a good weekend for the likes of Joel Mvuka Mugisha and Samuel Gueulette who had impressive performances for FC Lorient and Raal La Louviere respectively.

Rwanda internationals Djihad Bizimana and Emmanuel Imanishimwe were also in fine for their teams which both recorded wins in Ukraine and Cyprus respectively.

France

Joel Mvuka Mugisha was on target for FC Lorient who defeated Troyes 2-0 to climb to 2nd place on the French Ligue 2 table.

He scored the opening goal before making way for substitute Panos Katseris in the 63rd minute.

Belgium

Midfielder Samuel Gueulette captained Raal La Louviere and played the entire game in their 2-1 win over Jong Genk.

The win saw Raal maintain their 2nd position on the Belgian Challenger Pro League table.

Elsewhere in the third league, both Hakim Sahabo and Edoly Mateso were in action for SL 16 who thrashed RFC Tournai 5-1.

England

Kamari Doyle replaced Ryan Wood in the 81st minute but he could not prevent his club Exeter City from losing 2-0 at the hands of Stockport County in the English League 1 on Saturday, December 7.

In the League 2, Harvey Araujo played 82 minutes for Chesterfield FC who defeated Tranmere Rovers 3-0.

Macedonia

Centre back Abdul Rwatubyaye played all 90 minutes for Strumica who lost 2-0 to Tikvesh.

Azerbaijan

Ange Mutsinzi was an unused substitute for FK Zira who beat Kapaz 4-0.

Ukraine

Amavubi captain Djihad Bizimana came in for Yuri Shevchenko in the 46th minute as his side FC Kryvbas beat Chornomorets 3-1 on Sunday December 8.

Cyprus

Left-back Emmanuel Imanishimwe saw 62 minutes of action for AEL Limassol who thrashed Karmiotissa 4-0.

South Africa

Goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari missed his side’s 2-0 loss to Polokwane City as he continues his injury recovery.

Kenya

Arthur Gitego missed AFC Leopards 1-1 draw with Kakamega Homeboyz through leg injury. He is expected to start training on Monday, December 9 and could play club’s next game against Tusker.
