East African University Rwanda (EAUR) needed a tiebreak to beat Kigali Volleyball Club (KVC) in a five-set thriller at NPC Indoor Gymnasium on Sunday, December 7.

KVC became the latest casualty for EAUR who also inflicted two stunning defeats on the likes of APR VC and Police VC the previous week.

The two teams were tied to two sets apiece (17-25, 25-16, 21-25, 25-12) after four sets of action. They needed a tiebreak set to decide the game and it eventually ended in favor of EAUR who claimed it 15-8 to take home the victory.

Overall, the Round 4 volleyball action showcased intense competition as the teams vied for dominance both in men and women’s category.

Earlier in the women’s fray, Police Volleyball Club had eased past RP-Huye in three straight sets (25-9, 25-13, and 25-11) while Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA) continued their winning form after escaping Wisdom school’s scare to win 3-2 (21-25, 25-19, 25-9,14-25,15-8).
