Kenya’s Amwayi gets big match

KHARTOUM, SUDAN - Veteran Kenya referee, Caleb Amwayi has been picked to officiate the Cecafa Club Cup final match between local side El Merreikh and Atraco from Rwanda Sunday.

The match will be played at the Merreikh Stadium ‘The Red Castle’ in Omdurman. It will be preceded by the play-off between Kenya side Mathare United and TP Mazembe from DR Congo.

The tournament’s Organising Committee picked another Kenyan Aden Marwa as first assistant referee and Ugandans Samuel Kayondo and Mufta Ngobi as second assistant referee and fourth official respectively.

The match commissar will be Titus Kasuve from Kenya; Suleiman Waberi from Djibouti is the referees’ inspector while Kenya’s Finny Muyeshi is the Media Inspector.

The play-off will be officiated by Eric Ndayisenga from Burundi with the first assistant being Charles Nimpagariste also from Burundi.

Hassan Fido from Somalia is the second assistant while the fourth official is Munyemana Hudu from Rwanda.

The Match Commissar is Vadeste Kayiranga from Rwanda while the referee inspector is Salah Ahmed from Sudan. The media inspector is Finny Muyeshi.
