Singer Weasel Manizo, of Goodlyfe fame, has reportedly ousted his longtime friend and manager Geoffrey Chagga from his Makindye home, Neverland. The fallout, partially linked to issues involving Weasel’s baby mama Sandra Teta, was captured in a fiery video.

"... Don’t show contempt toward people better than you... That’s my wife! Wait, where does yours live? I’ve removed your belongings from the house. Look at your refrigerator—it’s been attracting rats!” Weasel, born Douglas Mayanja, fumed. He accused Chagga of refusing to apologize and ordered movers to ensure all his belongings were retrieved.

The pair, known for a rocky relationship even during the Mowzey Radio era, clashed most recently over finances following the Memories of Goodlyfe event at Hotel Africana in August.

This isn’t the first time Goodlyfe has faced internal strife. In 2013, Radio and Weasel dramatically dismissed their then-manager Jeff Kiwa, accusing him of financial misconduct and tossing his belongings out of their shared house.

Weasel’s musical journey began during high school when, with support from his brother Jose Chameleone, he recorded his first album, earning Shs2.5 million (approximately Rwf938,000) from businessman Kasiwukira. His breakout moment came with Bomboclat, a hit track where he featured alongside Chameleone.

But Weasel’s life was truly transformed upon meeting Mowzey Radio. Chagga played a role in this connection, introducing Radio to Chameleone’s record label, Leone Island. It was there that Radio and Weasel met and eventually decided to chart their path with Goodlyfe after splitting from Chameleone.

Jose Chameleone once shared the story behind their separation: "Radio and Weasel started Goodlyfe after a disagreement during a planned trip to Rwanda. They wanted Rasta Thaddeus to join us, but tickets had already been purchased. They refused to go without him, so I left for Rwanda alone. That’s when the rift began, and they eventually formed Goodlyfe.”

Chameleone also helped launch Radio’s solo career, producing his first song, Jennifer. Sadly, the late Rasta Thaddeus, a key figure in Goodlyfe’s early days, passed away in 2013 after injuries from a bar brawl in 2011.

The Goodlyfe story remains a mix of artistic success and personal drama.
