The Secretary General of Sunrise FC, Frank Kahangwa, has pointed out the club's target for the ongoing 2022/23 Rwanda Premier League season is to finish in the top half of the league table.

"Our main objective is to finish the 2022/23 season in the top seven. I believe we have the quality to do that," Kahangwa told Times Sport.

"We are working assiduously and the rough edges in the team are being sharpened for us to achieve our target."

Kahangwa lauded the new signings at Sunrise FC as he believes they have been up to the task.

"We signed seven new players and they are doing very well. They have made the team tight and there is great competition which makes the players work hard."

"We are not yet a finished product. There is a lot to be done and everyone is pulling his weight for us to get to our target," Kahangwa added.

Sunrise FC are ninth in the league with eight points after seven games.

The Nyagatare based club will play as guests to Rayon Sports at the Kigali Stadium on November 4, in a crunch Week 8 encounter.
