It is more likely that most of us were not born 15 years ago. However, we have learnt in our history classes about Rwanda before and after the Genocide.

Bottom line, Rwanda was liberated. Rwanda is free and Rwanda is ready to move on. On July 4 1994, it was a new dawn and a new beginning for Rwanda. This is the day when the Genocide ended and it marked the end of the previous discriminative regime.

Liberation day is basically celebrating the victory, the security and safety of Rwanda.

We all know our history. The question today is, are we free? Do we feel liberated? Do we understand the real meaning of liberation which is to unite Rwanda as one?

As we all embrace the spirit of liberation, let us all look beyond. Rwanda is, one people living together in peace and harmony.

There is a spirit of positive change and of commitment to overcome the past and look forward to the future.

As young people, let us all embrace the spirit of optimism and belief in the future like the people who fought for the liberation of our country.
