Esperance Ntawunozabino

Esperance Ntawunozabino is the headmistress of Kigali Harvest Primary School in Kimihurura sector, Gasabo district.

Below she shares her typical work day:

I wake-up at 5a.m, say a prayer and have a shower. I have breakfast and prepare for work. About 6a.m I set off from Gacuriro to work on a motor cycle taxi – sets me back Rwf 300.

At 7a.m, I attend the school’s assembly were I conduct a lecture on the importance of Rwandan culture, manners and discipline for about 15 minutes.

At about 7.30a.m, I am already in office carrying doing my office work.

I happen to have lunch at mid-day. I continue working up to 4p.m when I set off for Kigali Independent University (ULK) where I am pursuing a degree in sociology.

I spend about three hours at the University then go home. By 9p.m I must be home, I take a shower and relax as I wait for supper.

The latest I go to bed is 10p.m
