Cricket boss blasts Right Guards

RWANDA Cricket Association (RCA) president Charles Haba has lashed out at Right Guards over their weak attitude. Haba, one of the inaugural founders of the club couldn’t hide his disappointment following recent organizational woes that have troubled the club.

RWANDA Cricket Association (RCA) president Charles Haba has lashed out at Right Guards over their weak attitude. Haba, one of the inaugural founders of the club couldn’t hide his disappointment following recent organizational woes that have troubled the club.

"It is a shame that Right Guards are at the forefront when it comes to not keeping time on match days or raising a full team for cricket games,” said Haba, who has been in England for the ICC Twenty20 World Cup. 

Since 2004, Right Guards has also been criticized for repeatedly changing captains. The club has seen over six captains in Hamza Nkuutu, Charles Haba, Emma Byiringiro, Dennis Mukama, Julius Mbaraga and Henry Zzizinga. 

espite their recent impotence when it comes to winning trophies, Right guards still has a rich history after being the only club to produce centurions in Edward Kataaha (117*) in 2004 and Andre Kayitera (124) in 2008.

Right Guards has also produced most players to the national team since 2003 when Rwanda her debut appearance on the international scene in South Africa.
