Celebrated Rwandan female referee Salima Mukansanga is among the officials selected by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to conduct the draw for the Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) 2024.

The draw is slated for Friday, 22 November 2024 at the Mohammed VI Technical Centre in Sale, Morocco.
Mukansaga, made history on January 18, 2022 when she became the first female to officiate at the Africa Cup of Nations held in Cameroon when she handled a Group B game between Guinea and Zimbabwe.

The iconic Rwandan referee called it quits from international refereeing in October 2024 and it is not yet known if she will rescind her decision and officiate in the Women's AFCON in Morocco from July 5 to July 2025.
