BY OUR REPORTERCabinet ministers yesterday started half of their one month annual leave. They are expected to resume work effective next month, Information Minister Prof. Laurent Nkusi said yesterday."I have already started lecturing at the (National University of Rwanda). I’m actually in the middle of the lecture,” said Nkusi, who added that he preferred to use part of the leave to give lectures.Nkusi was formerly a full-time lecturer before he became a minister. The ministers normally break off for half a month in the middle of the year, and another half a month in December. In all, they have a whole month leave.Meanwhile, MPs will not hold any sitting the whole of this month. Not even standing committees will work during this month. Any parliamentary business will resume on next month, an MP said, adding that a number of lawmakers had traveled outside the country for a holiday. Others are however using this time to visit their constituencies ahead of next year’s general election.ENDS
