Kagame, Steve Harvey discuss investment, entertainment partnerships

American comedian and television host Steve Harvey, currently visiting Rwanda, met with President Paul Kagame to explore potential investments and partnerships in sectors such as events and entertainment.

The Office of the President confirmed the meeting in a social media post on Wednesday, November 20, saying: "Their discussions focused on potential areas of investment and partnership in various sectors, including events and entertainment.”

Following the meeting, Steve Harvey took to his social media to share his impressions, writing:

"We had the pleasure of sitting and meeting His Excellency, my brother President Paul Kagame. I was truly inspired by his strength and humility. A testament to Rwanda’s resilience and acts of forgiveness.”

Harvey arrived in Rwanda on Monday, November 18, and has since toured Kigali, including a visit to Kigali Genocide Memorial, where he paid tribute to victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.

At 67 years old, Broderick Stephen Harvey Sr. has established himself as a prominent figure in entertainment, with a diverse career spanning comedy, television hosting, writing, and business.

He is best known for shows such as The Steve Harvey Morning Show, Family Feud, and Celebrity Family Feud. He has also hosted the Miss Universe pageant since 2015.

He began his comedy career in the 1980s and gained recognition as the host of Showtime at the Apollo and later The Steve Harvey Show. Over the years, he has hosted several high-profile programs, including Little Big Shots, Steve on Watch, and Judge Steve Harvey.

As an author, Harvey has written four books, with his 2009 bestseller Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man inspiring a popular film adaptation. Harvey is married to Marjorie Bridges and has four biological children, and three stepchildren he raises with his wife.
