RACING Santander striker Mohammed Tchite ‘Meme’ has backed Amavubi Stars to pip Egypt in Sunday’s make or break 2010 World/ Africa Nations Cup qualifier in Cairo.

Meme believes that if Amavubi play with confidence, they can stun the African champions, who like the wasps, have not had a good start to the campaign.

"It is true Egypt is a top quality side but in football, anything is possible. All Amavubi need to do is go out and play their normal game,” the 25-year-old said.

Meme also thinks that Rwanda’s road to CAN is still clear since two of their remaining four fixtures are at home.

"Rwanda still has a good chance of qualifying for next year’s CAN since they have two homes, which they must win,” the highly sought after striker said.

Apart from the Algeria tie where Amavubi will play away, the Zambia and Egypt qualifiers will be played in Rwanda.

Amavubi head coach Branko Tucak will only name the final squad, a few hours before the team jets out to Cairo tomorrow evening.
