EASTERN PROVINCE

Gatsibo—Activities at the border of Kagitumba and Mirama have come to a standstill when a renowned money-changer man was on Thursday morning found lying unconscious in Mountain View hotel at Sofia.

Michael Ngabye was drugged with Caliform and left for dead inside the hotel room by unknown thugs.

Close friends report that Ngabye bet two men at the border Wednesday morning and conducted financial dealings in the Mountain View hotel room.

An appointment had been made to meet again Thursday.

Early Thursday morning, Ngabye went to the hotel room as planned and was not found until hotel cleaners found him on routine checks.

Police at Mirama hill confirmed the robbery but had not established the amount of money taken from Ngabye.
