Star striker Claire Ngeneye scored a stunning hat-trick as APR romped to a 5-0 win against Bugesera at Kicukiro artificial turf over the weekend.

Captain Aime Flora Tuziyere added a brace that helped the reigning champions to open up a five point cushion over AS Kigali, who have played two games less.

APR has now amassed 31 points, five more than AS Kigali in second place. Musanze are third on 24 points.

Despite APR’s big margin wins, the club coach Egidia Kayitesi still insists that there only route to retaining the title is if AS Kigali drop points.
