AMAVUBI Stars head coach Branko Tucak will be delighted by the arrival of Brussels FC striker Jean Paul Eale Lutula as Rwanda seek to restore their hopes of qualifying for next year’s Africa Nations Cup in Angola.

Lutula, who turns 25 in October, is expected to add steel to the Amavubi striking line that has looked weak in the opening two qualifiers.

Even with the likes of Labama Bokota, Said Abedi, Jimmy Gatete and Olivier Karekezi, Rwanda are still looking for their first goal in the campaign after a goalless home draw against Algeria and a 1-0 defeat away to Zambia.

Lutula joined camp on Sunday; six days before Rwanda’s make or break 2010 World/Africa Nations Cup qualifier against Egypt.

Meanwhile, another new face believed to be featuring in one of the North African leagues has also been drafted into the national team.

The player was spotted training with the national team on Sunday.

Defeat against the African Champions will certainly erase Rwanda’s dreams of playing in next year’s World Cup but also reduce her chances of making the trip to Angola for next year’s Africa Nations Cup (CAN).

Amavubi head into Sunday’s tie well aware that only goal difference separates them with Egypt at the bottom of Group C. Algeria top the group with seven points while Zambia come second on four points.
