FOUND FORM: Jimmy Mulisa had done enough in recent training sessions to convince Branko (on his left) that he deserves to be in the team for the Egypt game.

Egypt v Rwanda

Rwanda and Beveren midfielder Jimmy Mulisa has made a drastic improvement in his form, a week before Amavubi Stars face Egypt in the 2010 World/Africa Nations Cup qualifier due July 5 in Cairo.

Since being left out of the squad which lost 1-0 to Zambia in the last Group C qualifier, Mulisa has fully worked on his form.

As the national team left for Malawi enroute to Zambia, the midfielder stayed behind training with his former club, APR, and his hard work seems to be paying off as he has gone on to impress Tucak Branko in recent training sessions.

It has taken him close to two weeks of hard work to work on his shape, and odds are for him to win a place on Branko’s final squad for the Egypt game.

He struck a hat-trick in a recent training match and his overall performances have been impressive.

Meanwhile, the Cameroonian trio that had been drafted into the national team has been sent back after failing to impress Branko during their ‘trials’.

The trio had nothing special in their armory compared to the local players and despite spending a couple of days on test, the coach found them wanting in almost every aspect of an international footballer.

In a related development, Ahly Tripoli defender Boubakary Saddou joined the national team training camp yesterday but Fc Brussels striker Eale Lutula was yet to report by press time.

Both Rwanda and Egypt are languishing in the third and fourth place respectively with one point but separated by goals against. Algeria leads Group C with seven points while Zambia has four points
