Rwandan volleyball powerhouse Police VC have acquired Kenyan opposite hitter Elphas Makuto in a bold move to reinforce their roster.

The former Kenya Prisons Volleyball Club returns to the club he previously played for in 2023, after penning a one-year contract, with an option for extension based on their performance.

During his previous spell, Makuto played a critical role in leading the law enforcers to victory in the CAVB Zone V Club Championship, clinching a 3-1 win over Uganda’s Sports-S VC.

He later joined Kenya Prisons and went on to help them win a bronze medal after achieving a third-place finish at the 2023 African Volleyball Clubs Championship in Egypt.

Makuto could play his first game of the season with Fred Musoni's side on November 16, when they take on Rwanda Polytechnic VC. He is also likely to feature for the club when they lock horns with Gisagara VC on Sunday, November 17. Both games will take place at Gisagara Gymnasium.
