American point guard William Perry has signed for UAE side Al-Naser ahead of the 2024/2025 season.
The 30-year-old was part of Rwandan powerhouse Patriots during the 2025 season, helping the club reach the finals which they eventually lost to rivals APR.
"Al-Nassr offered me a good opportunity to play in the gulf region. I saw it as a good chance to play in a new market that I always wanted to try. I enjoyed my time in Africa these past years and loved being a part of the explosive growth on the continent. This isn’t a "good-bye”, but more likely a "see you later," Perry told Times Sport.
In 2021, Perry joined Mozambican side Ferroviário da Beira of the Liga Moçambicana de Basquetebol (LMB) and powered them to the 2021 LMB championship and was at the same time named MVP.
He then led them to qualify for the 2022 BAL season, where he averaged 14 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists per game.
Perry extended his stay at Beira prior to the 2022 season and again guided them to a second straight championship. He was also named the MVP in that same season.
