Rwandan international referee Dieudonnée Mutuyimana has been selected to officiate in the CHAN 2024 finals tournament which will take place Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda from February 1-28, 2025.
The 35-year-old referee is among the six assistant referees selected by CAF for the competition.
This is going to be his second CHAN appearance after officiating in the 2022 edition held in Algeria. Senegal emerged victorious after beating the host 5-4 on penalties in the final. The pair had played a goalless draw after 90 minutes.

Mutuyimana started his refereeing career in 2012 in the Rwandan second tier league before he was promoted to the top tier league two years later in 2014.
He previously served the assistant referee role in a host of CAF inter-club games including the Etoile du Sahel vs Petro Atletico de Luanda game on December 2, 2023 as well as CR Belouizdad vs Al Ahly on February 16, 2024.
