The draw for next year’s Africa Nations Cup (CAN) will be held on November 20, according to the Confederation of African Football (CAF), the continent’s football governing body.

During the draw, 16 teams will be divided into four groups for the tournament that spans three weeks, January 10-31, 2010.
The event, rolling into its 27th edition will be staged in four cities; Luanda, Cabinda, Benguela and Lobango.

Twenty Countries including Rwanda are currently involved in the final round of qualifiers which will decide the final sixteen for the draw.

The top three out of the four teams in each of the five groups, will join host Angola for the continental showpiece.

Rwanda, who are Group C contenders alongside African Champions Egypt, Algeria and Zambia currently sit second from bottom with one point out of a possible six and need a good result in their next match against Egypt to have a realistic chance of qualifying.

CAF also released the calendar for the tournament ahead of the draw.

From the Calendar, Group A teams will be based in the Angolan Capital; Group B – Cabinda, Group C- Benguela and Group D – Lubango.

The Group phase matches will take place between the dates of January 10-21 to be followed by the Knockout stages set for January 24-25.

The semi finals have been set for January 28 in Luanda and Bengula, with the third place match held two days later.

January 31 will be the date for the final in Luanda.
