Vibe Distrikt's "The Royal Rumble”

Saturday night, Vibe Distrikt returns with the second edition of ‘The Royal Rumble,’ transforming Lemon Kigali into a hotspot for creative and musical exchange. This unique event is more than just a music show; it’s a collision of talent and opportunity.

DJs Nicolas Peks and Grvndlvng promise a lineup that spans hip-hop, dancehall, amapiano, and afro beats, complemented by surprise live performances from some of Kigali’s best. Kids’ Saturday Dance Class

These sessions, running from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., are a great way for young dancers to develop flexibility, rhythm, and confidence.

Move Afrika Dance Camp, Vol. 2

Back by popular demand, Rwandan dancer and choreographer Abdoul Hakim Manzi Mbaya, known as Manzi Mbaya, is bringing the Move Afrika Dance Camp to Kigali for a second year.

This event, held from November 7 to 9, is a hub for dance lovers, professionals, and enthusiasts worldwide, celebrating a variety of dance forms.

Over three action-packed days, participants can enjoy trial classes in Afro House, Krump, Hip Hop, Amapiano, Afro-Fusion, and even Rwandan traditional dance. Those hoping to enter the dance industry can also compete in pre selection trials for the Move Afrika All Styles Battle.

Panels on topics like "Education and Professionalization of Dance in Africa” and an open cypher will provide dancers with valuable industry insights and networking opportunities. Day pass: Rwf 5,000.

Goethe MobiArts Concert

Renowned South African pianist Keenan Meyer brings his Goethe MobiArts tour to Kigali, joined by local artists Samy Iradukunda, Impano ya Rusakiza, Adeodatus, and Sax Water.

Meyer, known for his captivating performances and innovative style, has already wowed audiences in Johannesburg, Abidjan, and Accra. Now, it’s Kigali’s turn.

Meat Rhyme Sunday

Imagine this: a live F1 screening, sizzling nyama choma, and drinks flowing by the pool. That’s what Meat Rhyme is all about, and it’s back this Sunday, November 10, at Kimi’s Bar and Grill in Kimihurura, Bwok Building.

DJs Kan of Ruffcutz DJs and Cad will be spinning tracks throughout the evening, bringing good vibes and great tunes to your Sunday unwind.

Made in Heaven Concert with Papi Clever & Dorcas

Rwandan gospel duo Papi Clever & Dorcas are set to inspire Kigali with their worship concert, ‘Made in Heaven,’ on Sunday, November 10, at Intare Conference Arena, Rusororo.

Known for their hymn-based worship style, the duo returns to the stage after winning hearts at their debut concert, ‘Yavuze Yego,’ held to a sold-out crowd at the Kigali Conference and Exhibition Village in January 2023.

Aime Butare, from the concert’s organizing team, shared with The New Times that the event aims "to help people connect more closely with God.” Alongside the duo, the lineup includes Cyrso Ndasingwa, True Promises Ministry, and Ntora Worship Team, with pastors Lopez from Burundi and Hortence Mazimpaka from Rwanda delivering messages of faith.

In the spirit of accessibility and unity, entry to the event will be free, inviting everyone to partake in a meaningful worship experience.

Me and Home Exhibit

From November 5 to 13, Goethe-Institut presents ‘ME and Home: Navigating Rwandan Identity in Uganda,’ an exhibit by artist Kezia Mbabazi. Through evocative paintings, Mbabazi takes visitors on a personal journey, exploring themes of identity, belonging, and cultural roots in a uniquely visual narrative.

The exhibit encourages viewers to reflect on multicultural experiences and engage in dialogue around identity. This immersive showcase can be viewed at Goethe-Institut, 13 KN 27 Street, Kiyovu, with free entry.

Shine Through Exhibition

Rwandan artist Feline Ntabangana, whose work bridges Rwanda, New York, and Brussels, offers a powerful commentary on social issues through her multidisciplinary art. Known for her expressive style, Feline’s fourth edition of ‘Shine Through’ symbolizes resilience and the light that individuals carry regardless of their backgrounds.

Her bold colors and striking forms address themes like identity, women’s rights, and societal expectations, transforming her art into a visual narrative that goes beyond traditional canvases.

Opening Friday, November 8, at 7 PM at L’Espace, 11 KG 28 Avenue, ‘Shine Through’ will kick off with live music by Nicolas Peks. The exhibition, with free entry, will run until November 15.
