Rihanna hairstyle

Walking in town, one becomes amused by the way girls and women treat themselves with all sorts of hairstyles.

The tendency is quite interesting, though a little puzzling to know which hairstyle is the latest since they all flatter.

However, hair dressers have revealed that though there seem to be very many hairstyles in town, the latest trend is ‘Rihanna hairdo.’

Claire Keza, the owner of Keza saloon at Union Trade Centre [UTC], said the style is popularly increasing.

"They like the hairstyle because it makes them look younger,” she explained.

She further explained that unlike other braiding styles that have differing preferences amongst age groups, Rihanna hairstyle provides a common taste.

"Compared to other braids, the young ones like the long and sleepy ones that touch the shoulders but the old ones like the ones in a puff because it is easy to manage,” she said.

Keza who seems to be in her forties wears the same hairstyle.
Once it is done, the outer appearance looks of natural hair but can be tinted to another shade. The front covers half of the forehead and eyelash.

"It is a type of braids but they are buried underneath and human hair is put on top after cornrows,” Keza said.

Alfa Uwera an employee at Queen’s Saloon located in the city also revealed that Rihanna hairstyle is the most common hairstyle demanded by their customers.

But she added that it’s mostly the youth who demand for the hairstyle.

The famous hairstyle shares a name with Rihanna a famous musician. But the hair specialists say that the name wasn’t borrowed from the musician.

To get the latest style, one has to pay between Rwf10, 000- Rwf15, 000, depending on the saloon.
